Google's slogan is "Do No Evil".
It's no secret that with the vast amount of sensitive
information they have access to, they could do a lot
of evil with it.
But, instead... Google uses their inside knowledge and
intelligence to make a bunch more money -- and put out
great products.
In Robert Cialdini's book 'Influence'
(an excellent read), he gives examples of cults using
advanced persuasion techniques to literally convince
followers to do anything.
Even to make mentally stable individuals drink
poison-laced Kool-Aid and willingly take their own life!
Another example... I once had a drink with a master NLP
(Neuro-Linguistic Programming) practitioner.
After some casual conversation with a cocktail waitress
(and before finishing his second beer), this guy had her
in a semi-trance. It was incredible to witness this
unfold right before my eyes. Within minutes, she started
to open up and talk about her personal issues like he was
an old friend.
*That* is the power of words, psychology and persuasion.
If you are like me, you hear stories like this and say,
"That would never happen to me. I'm smarter than that".
The scary thing is, we are ALL wired the same on the
inside. At a subconscious level, everyone is on the same
page.
Our basic human needs, desires and emotional triggers
haven't changed in 300 years.
Unfortunately, once you've figured out human psychology
and persuasion, some people choose to "do evil"
(just like the Kool-Aid example I provided above).
But, fortunately... you can "do good" once you've figure
out what makes people tick. And having this knowledge is
very powerful (and profitable) for serious marketers like
you and me.
When it comes to figuring out why people buy,
what motivates them to take action and how to apply
persuasion techniques online to make more money
(legally and ethically), one man has figured all this
stuff out like nobody else.
I'm talking about Frank Kern.
Right now, you might be thinking...
"Ah geez, another Frank Kern promo?"
I know, I know.
Bear with me here for a second, okay?
This isn't one of those "canned" emails endorsing Frank's
product or urging you to buy now.
You've probably received at least 7 emails this week
praising Frank as some kind of Marketing Messiah.
You can't deny the fact that the man knows his stuff -
- having been the quarterback behind some of the biggest,
most successful, product launches that we've ever seen
online.
But Frank doesn't really consider himself a master of
product launches. What Frank does goes way beyond that.
You see, Frank has been literally working underground for
the past 2 years.
(Sidenote: Yes, the word "underground" has become cliché
in our market, but he really did go incommunicado on us
for a while.)
During those 2 years he was using his subscribers
(in a 'hobby' market that I cannot disclose) as guinea
pigs -- testing out offers, new marketing tactics,
unconventional (often risky) email copy, sales letters
and videos.
More important, Frank was conducting an ongoing human
psychology experiment of "what works"
when tapping deep inside the minds of his prospects...
applying advanced NLP and persuasion strategies
(to do good, not evil).
What you witnessed during the incredible StomperNet and
Pipeline Profits launches was a direct result of Frank's
"in-the-trenches" fieldwork and how powerful it is when
getting people to buy something.
Back in early 2006, Frank invited me as his personal
guest to attended his sold-out Serializer seminar.
If I recall, he sold seats for $10K a piece and only used
his puny 8,000 subscriber list to fill the room in under
4 minutes.
Anyway you slice it, that's damn impressive!
I am a big believer in studying those who are already
successful and attempt to reverse engineer what they do to
be successful.
Over the past few weeks, Frank has put out some
outstanding information -- videos, case studies,
PDF documents.
It's no secret that this is part of his carefully
orchestrated pre-launch strategy.
But, let's forget about the product for a second.
Watch what Frank is doing. Watch his *every* move.
Take a step back for a second and try and see past the
emails and videos. Can you unravel the
*hidden* psychological triggers and advanced persuasion
tactics that are taking place unnoticed?
Most people will just watch the videos, learn some new
strategies and say,
"Cool. Thanks for sharing that Frank".
What I want you to do is to watch these videos,
absorb the information, BUT at the same time, make sure
that you observe each step of the "process" as well.
You will learn a lot by just tagging along for the ride
as Frank counts down to his upcoming Mass Control
product launch this Friday, February 1st.
You'll find all of Frank's video,
PDFs and case studies here in his blog:

As you will see from the hundreds of comments at the
above blog, many have mentioned that Frank's "fre.e"
information is better than some paid products. I agree.
But, you can judge for yourself
Go check it out right now. Frank hinted that after his
launch on Feb 1st, he may take down the case studies on
his blog. Go download (and save) them while it's still
fresh on your mind.
Here is the link to Frank's blog again:

Once you visit the blog, you'll see all the video and
case study links on the left side.
Better not make any plans tonight or tomorrow night,
I think you'll be busy after seeing the blog ;-)
